“Silence”

Silent I have been,
For I am weary.
My voice will not allow me to speak
For my heart is heavy
My soul cries to be heard,
But I am silent.
Silent I have been,
For I cannot hear you.
My ears beg to listen
But they do not understand.
Therefore I am silent.
I wait for guidance
For I seek your direction.
Silent I have been,
For I need you.
